Oceans are key
Sixty7.green is growing.
We are delighted that Jorge Lujan Cordoba, recent University of Southampton graduate, has joined the team. Jorge brings an experienced researchers eye to environmental, social and political sustainability with a keen focus on the world’s oceans.
Jorge’s marine biology background and related disciplines are hugely helpful in helping us appreciate interdependency within the natural world. Importantly, he is helping us question why this appreciation holds a critical key to a more sustainable future.
Jorge believes that the fragility of the natural world compels us to continually seek solutions to sometimes insurmountable problems. In his early years, he was drawn to marine biology. This taught him to put science at the heart of addressing a crisis.
In addition to his academic endeavours, Jorge is passionate about human rights and speaks out about this and other social injustices, especially those impacted by global supply chains. He brings to Sixty7.green an appreciation that the combined efforts of business and science can enact real and effective sustainability outcomes, whilst also bringing about social good.
He wants to see well-meaning companies prosper through sustainability and social responsibility. And maybe, along the way, tackle some of the biggest issues facing humanity and the natural world.
